Quality Assurance Specialist on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ works with planning, designing, development, and product management teams for the creation of new Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems products or the support or development of an existing product. They assist in production process improvement initiatives such as the inspection, testing and analysis of different production processes, procedures and infrastructure. Ensure that they monitor and analyze the production process of a product throughout its lifecycle, from discovery to closure. Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects; document and work to resolve all problems; and report progress on problem resolution to management. Devise and put in place quality control measures and preventive policies to ensure compliance to quality standards and resolution of quality events. Interact with and interface with sponsors and regulatory agencies during audits. Work with product development teams to ensure the interoperability and compatibility of the product with relevant third-party products or operating systems. May have degrees in Computer Science, Business administration, Information Technology, Information Services or other related fields. Familiarity/Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Warehouse Management System (WMS), message testing (EDI, ASN or XML), and testing simulation tools. Verifiable knowledge of Product (hardware/software) Development Life Cycle, Waterfall and Agile/Scrum best practices and methodologies. Analyze, develop, and update the client’s test plans and cases. Help businesses document and communicate discovered defects or product problems with developers and stakeholders. Under general supervision, carry out procedures to ensure information systems, products, and services meet minimum organization standards and end user requirements. Monitor and analyze trends and developments and customer feedback. Participate in product development and improvement discussions and provide insights to the organization on how to improve product functionality. Define and redefine the client company’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, procedures and policies to increase productivity and efficiency. Perform workflow analysis and recommend operational quality improvement strategies and develop models of possible future configurations. Carry out quality assurance testing such as functional testing, software testing, cross-browser testing and cross-device testing and analyze the results of those tests. Frequently report to a Quality Assurance Manager.
