Systems Analysis and Programming Director on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ are responsible for analyzing how the hardware, software and other IT systems fit the business needs of their clients and employers. They develop software within an organization and direct the software engineering functions in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications/operating systems according to business needs. Examine the current systems under use, note the requirements and specifications for a modified system or a new system altogether and help to implement agreed solutions for effective functioning. Work with and coordinate systems programmers within the organization and other IT staff in implementing system analysis projects. May have bachelor’s degrees in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), business intelligence, management information systems (MIS) or other related fields. Proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, Postgre-SQL, Transact-SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Beans, Postgre, Python, Bash, VBScripts, C, C++, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and so on. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, database management reporting, business management, management engineering, systems engineering, operations research, and so on. Train organizational software end users and receive their feedback for proper documentation with the aim of making appropriate improvements in another version of the software. Prepare and evaluate alternative workflow solutions and use this to develop software solutions needed for organizational efficiency and test various programs to validate results. Define and analyze system problems and assess competitors’ operational systems with the hope of using the knowledge to implement computer systems solutions. Ensure the safety of information and communications systems and see to the overall integrity of the information and data of the organizational.
