Telecommunications Analyst Technician on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ provides maintenance of the switching equipment. Performs more complex activities for routine maintenance on switch. Reads and interprets circuit diagrams and electrical schematics.

Telecommunications Analyst Technician on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ are responsible for maintaining and overseeing all the telecommunications software and hardware applications and equipment to be installed, as well as the physical infrastructure to be erected. They are responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and coordinating all the installation and system changes necessary to bring about telecommunications efficiency. Design and give criteria for the equipment to use before final approval for procurement. Provide direction and engineering knowledge for communications activities including planning, designing, installing and maintaining large communications networks. Develop, operate, and maintain voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems. Provide complex engineering or analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas within the communications function. May have bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, information technology, electrical amp; electronics engineering or other related certifications. Experienced in LAN/WAN environment management, LAN/WAN administration, LAN/WAN performance tuning, LAN/WAN software and hardware maintenance, and have strong LAN/WAN network diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Responsible for installing and terminating all plant data cable infrastructure and architecture. Carry out a site survey and give the infrastructural requirements for new voice data projects at a new construction site and the existing one. Adjust and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment and provide mentorship to all team members. Participate in preparing the budget and monitor all allocated funds for the communications facilities of each department. Keep a record of all data appropriate to the telecommunications system. Provide their expertise in voice and data connectivity technology. Make records of all configuration diagram and label all documented network. Maintain the network by identifying and resolving the problem of any technical nature. Perform end-to-end troubleshooting for video, voice and UC system and also have great interpersonal communication skills and are able to engage in one-on-one communications with administrators and departmental directors to advocate for their needs. They also test network and make back-up procedures
