Voice Communications Administrator on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ are responsible for ensuring the proper and adequate planning for the development of communication facilities and remote hardware. They implement the methodologies that are used in analyzing, supporting, and installing voice communications systems. Coordinate the acquisition and assessment of software and remote hardware used in voice communications systems. Interface with vendors and internal/external customers to determine the needs of the system and assist user support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Monitor and respond to facility hardware and software problems. Make phone system additions, changes, and install new station equipment. May have bachelor’s degrees in computer science, information technology and other relevant fields. Oversee the design and implementation of networks for voice communications and ensure access to all its features and facilities, including voicemails, telephone networks, and PBX or ACD. Experienced in LAN/WAN environment management, LAN/WAN administration, LAN/WAN performance tuning, LAN/WAN software and hardware maintenance, and have strong LAN/WAN network diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. May be proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, Transact-SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Beans, Python, Bash, C, C++, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and so on. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, database management reporting, business management, management engineering, systems engineering, operations research, and so on. Responsible for voice communications system upgrades and performance enhancement. Put in place standard procedures for detecting and preventing server security breaches and the processes for resolving them. Responsible for integrating the voice communications system with both internal and external security systems or infrastructure. Develop, implement, and maintain necessary back up or disaster recovery procedures. Typically requires two to four years of experience and knowledge of equipment monitoring.
