Web Security Analyst performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of the organization’s website and transactions across the Internet/intranet. Applies Internet firewall technologies to maintain security. Ensures that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Updates and deletes users, monitors and performs follow-up on compliance violations, and develops security policies, practices, and guidelines.

Web Security Analyst on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ under general supervision, perform all procedures to ensure the safety of the organization’s website and transactions across the internet and intranet networks. They are in charge of detecting hostile activities in organizational networks and protecting the website against any cyber threats and hackers. Conduct security assessment and evaluation to identify all network vulnerabilities and make necessary recommends on fixing them. Ensure the security of confidential order information and external business-to-business connections. Take responsibility for mobile and computer network security, oversee all issues that have to do with Information Technology (IT) safety and security updates. Identify threats to the web and implement measures to protect it. Apply internet firewall and encryption technologies to maintain organizational and customer security. Ensure that the user community understands and adheres to all established security procedures. Provide consultation services and run training schedules for all end users on security practices. Provide technical support services to end users to resolve web security issues. Update and delete users, monitor and perform follow-up compliance violations, and develop security policies and practices and guidelines. Identify and analyze all current necessary security requirements and give suggestions for improvement implementation. Ensure the security of organizational computer network and web portal at all times. May have certifications in cybersecurity, information technology, Information management, information systems, computer science or other related fields. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, database management reporting, business management, management engineering, systems engineering, operations research, and so on. May be proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Python, , C, C++, Network+, Security+, and so on. Experienced in web environment management, web administration, web performance tuning, web software and hardware maintenance, and have strong web network diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Perform penetration tests to determine whether or not an information network system have been compromised and determine the extent of the damage caused by these actions. Requires experience in firewall/DMZ design and implementation.
