Database Analyst Programmer Intermediate on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ are responsible for programming and analyzing databases for the organization. They are responsible for programming the automation scripts that ensure regular maintenance of company databases, analyze company requirements to suggest improvements in storage systems, support end users and respond to ticket requests if necessary. Create database assignments to transform data from multiple systems, configure connectivity to data sources, customize database packages to meet business needs, and create custom databases to meet all organizational goals. Optimize databases by developing scripts and codes to increase network performance and overall productivity. Document the characteristics of the database and create detailed reports based on their results. Manage database software by creating scripts and patches. Responsible for installing and updating database designs, as well as running and troubleshooting database applications. Have bachelor’s degrees in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems or information technology, amongst other certifications. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, and so on. Proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, Postgre-SQL, Transact-SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Beans, Postgre, Python, C, C++; and high-level applications such as Server Reporting Services (SRS), Tableau, Pentaho, Matillion, and so on. Have exceptional experience in developing codes, quality assurance testing, RDBMS management, database monitoring, database queries, database design, and dimensional modeling techniques. Experienced in Amazon Web Services and other secured cloud providers. Work directly with business groups to identify, define, and document project requirements. Advise and support corporate groups in their data analysis projects; manage and support multiple projects in collaboration with technology teams, project managers and business group; and document data definitions, metrics, data structures, and business processes for business projects and initiatives. Advise professional users on how to use the data warehouse to efficiently develop reports for corporate groups. Take responsibility for the analysis and improvement of the quality and integrity of the data in the data warehouse.
