Groupware Specialist on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of organization messaging system. May work closely with first tier support staff to solve system problems. Ensures smooth integration of all groupware systems in a particular environment. Provides technical support on local groupware replication and client dial-up access issues. Prepares documentation that will assist in the maintenance of the groupware system. May serve as an internal consultant to developers, assisting them in the area of server supports, security, ID files, and other development issues that will aid the process. Requires solid working knowledge of WANs, LANs, and telecommunication concepts as they relate to the groupware system and database replication.

Groupware Specialist on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ oversees the development and deployment of a Group’s initiative in the organization, determine work requirements, and the selection of collaborative programs to meet these requirements. They perform both hardware and software troubleshooting and train end users and employees about internet access, document sharing, email handling, and other technical activities. Coordinate with end users and employees to identify areas of needs or areas for improvement in the organization. Ensure that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks and systems and provide technical support to end users and employees to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Have bachelor’s degrees in computer science and other certifications in related fields. Experienced in configuring, managing and troubleshooting all relevant collaborative systems and applications. Knowledgeable in installing, upgrading, writing, and executing PowerShell scripts, SharePoint and other collaborative applications. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of organizational messaging systems. Ensure smooth integration of all groupware systems, provide technical support on local groupware replication and client dial-up access issues. May serve as internal consultant to developers, assisting them in the area of server supports, security, ID files, and other development issues. Possess solid working knowledge of WANs, LANs, and Telecommunication concepts as they relate to groupware and database replication. Have outstanding presentation, writing, and oral communication skills that enhance their ability to work with non-technical staff or end user. Use their extensive business knowledge to provide high-level expertise and advice in the implementation of various business decisions that will guide end users and employees throughout the implementation process. Engage in group support activities, management, analysis, selection, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of group support application systems, monitoring software, collaborative tools, and group support facilities. Actively involved in the engineering and publishing of various group applications such as collaborative group computing, the wireless internet access, and sharing of group documents and messages for clients.
