Information Assurance Network Specialist on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet network security requirements. Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.

Information Assurance Network Specialist on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ protect the health and privacy of the information stored on digital network devices. They are proactive in working towards protecting computer networks and systems and in investigating information security systems violations. Work with various industries of the economy such e-commerce, computer system design service providers, financial institutions, insurance companies, as well as telecommunications companies. Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement many security measures, including computer security software installation, regular security checks activities, preparation of safety status reports, educating users about computer security, creating user security documents, assisting in disaster recovery, and collecting evidence related to cybercrime. May have degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other certifications in related to the fields. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, database management reporting, and so on. Proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, Postgre-SQL, Transact-SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Beans, Postgre, Python, C, C++; and high-level applications such as Server Reporting Services (SRS), Tableau, Pentaho, Matillion, and so on. Have current understanding of common web, network, and system vulnerabilities. Develop organization’s information network to specifications that suit end users’ needs. Offer information network monitoring and analysis; information network architecture installation, configuration, and equipment testing; as well as establishing connections and firewalls and defining network policies and procedures. Troubleshoot information network problems to ultimately improve performance for end users. Prepare network users to use the network safely by conducting relevant training courses and providing helpful references and easily accessible user support.
