Information Center Consultant on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ under general supervision of Information Center Manager, may support unlimited end user groups. Works with users to solve problems with available technology including hardware, software and peripherals. Studies and analyzes systems needs, trains users on software and hardware, handles troubleshooting, and provides quality assurance review of user systems. Acts as project manager, typically performs time estimates, and regularly reviews status of projects. May have specialization in particular software that would be utilized in an end user environment. Keeps abreast of technological developments and may install new hardware and software for user groups. Frequently reports to an Information Center Manager.

Information Center Consultant on GSA STARS II Small Business IDIQ works with a large group of an organization’s end users to identify their needs and strategize on solutions to business inefficiencies. They evaluate user needs and make recommendations to the organization on how to meet those needs. Have degrees in Information technology, public relations, public administration or any other certifications in related fields. Have extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database administration, data modeling, data analysis, database design, repository creation, data architecture, data warehouse modeling, database management reporting, and so on. Proficient in database programming languages such as ORACLE, SQL, Postgre-SQL, Transact-SQL, SYBASE, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); and other relevant computer programming languages such as MySQL, jQuery, Oracle, Java Script, Angular, CSS, HTML 5, Apache, Node.js, Beans, Postgre, Python, C, C++; and high-level applications such as Server Reporting Services (SRS), Tableau, Pentaho, Matillion, and so on. Possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with information system solutions stakeholders at all levels. Able to quickly understand and move between different projects, concepts, initiatives or different courses of action. Provide support for unlimited end user groups and work with users to solve problems involving all types of available information technologies, including hardware, software, and peripherals. Study and analyze information system’s needs; train users on information software and hardware handling and troubleshooting; and provide quality assurance review of user systems. Recommend different ways to ensure the integrity and privacy of the organization’s information system through encrypted programs, firewalls, and well-designed disaster recovery architecture. Collaborate with all employees, organization-wide, in analyzing the organization’s data and in determining their information system requirements with respect to project objectives, providing necessary recommendations. Act as project manager, typically perform time-estimates, and regularly review project status. Frequently report to the Information Center Manager.
